Act One

THE HEARTBEAT OF THE TIGER - The lights go down, the audience are waiting, and then some pink lips come up on the back screen repeating "There's no place like home". There is heartbeat noises and then a heart monitor comes up. The heartbeats get faster and faster. It is so loud which makes it even more exciting and then the tiger eyes come up and there is a massive roar. Then it goes pitch black again. The audience are so excited because they don't know what's going to happen next. DANCING IN THE DARK - Then, you hear the loud beating taps of Michael and the troupe in perfect time. They perform some excellent rythm patterns as strobe lighting flickers behind them. Then a spot light focuses on Michaels feet as he taps. Then, all the lights come up and in the background, a sun slowley rises. In between the troupe dancing, Michael performs various complex moves and patterns. Then they all stamp their feet numerous times and perform a sequence that we will see again later. They get faster and faster until they come to an end. ST. PATRICK - This number starts with a snake in the background with woman on the floor doing snake like movements. Then, 5 or 6 men dressed up as monks come walking fast on to the stage and get rid of the woman. They do amazing leaps around the stage until they come running forwards onto their needs and the lights go out. THE SLEEPING TIGER - This is a beautiful number sang by Eimear Quinn on the DVD and by Paul Harrington in the live show. It is about Irelands struggle through it's history and Ireland as a home. THE VIKINGS - It starts off with wave noises and vikings coming onto the stage in what looks like boats. Then the music properly starts and a women comes on to the stage to do a little routine. Then lots of women enter and start doing a dance. Next, the men come on in hard shoes and do a routine. The music starts to get faster and faster and they join in a circle and go round and round. They break up and the music is still getting faster. Finally the music stops and they are in pairs holding each other.
